Question: "How do you unwind and recharge when things get stressful? ”
So, I'm actually a big fan of good old fashioned meditation. Not in some weird sense of trying to connect with some spiritual being, but just listening to my breathing, and just trying to be silent and calm the busyness of my mind. I actually like the word mindfulness maybe more than meditation because meditation has a lot of baggage tied to it. I like to do this for a short 5-10 minutes at most. I’m a big believer in that. And then reading, I love to grab a fiction book or a nonfiction book, it doesn't even matter, and read for a bit.
Question: "How do you incorporate technology into your real estate investments?”
You know, being a large commercial investor with mobile home parks, apartment complexes and self storage, technology is vital to having a competitive edge. For example, we use technology when finding deals, such as keeping track of leads inside of a CRM and use both automation and manual processes to connect with sellers and brokers. We also use technology in how we vet properties in terms of analysis, underwriting, and checking out properties, etc. I'm a big fan of using AI like Chat GPT when it comes to answering emails and dealing with tenants. A lot of the management stuff we do and just management in general, is a very tech focused thing. Technology can even replace staffing so you're able to keep the overhead lower, which keeps your profits higher for your investors.
