Something I’m Reading
I just finished book two from the Red Rising series called "Golden Son”. I still absolutely love that series and I finished this book in like two days. It was my second time reading it.
Something I Photographed
Paddle boarding with the whales (and real estate friends) :)
Something I’m Excited About
I’m excited to be hosting my next digital event on February 20th where I’ll be teaching existing investors how to 10x their portfolio. I’ll be sharing how I personally went from 2 to 20 doors but the same principles apply for growing from 20 to 200 doors. The best part? It’s completely FREE! If you want to join me next Tuesday at 7pm EST, you can register here.
Something I Can Answer
I’ll be answering two questions asked by a BTB subscriber. Have a question you want me to answer? Reply to this text with your question!
Question: "If you could go back and give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?”
If I could give myself one piece of advice, it'd be to focus on creating systems that make success inevitable versus just flailing around trying to find success. Like I say all the time, success is never a surprise, it's a system. So I would have taught myself how to do better systems. Books like "Work the System” by Sam Carpenter and "The E-Myth Revisited” by Michael Gerber are examples of great books that talk about this stuff more. But I really think having systems early on would have made such a difference in my life.
Question: "Is it a good time to start investing in real estate because the interest rate is so high? Or should I wait?”
It's always a good time to try to invest in real estate. Because even when things are difficult, you just get better and stronger. So don't wait till things are easy because then you're not going to get strong. And besides, nothing is ever easy. It's always difficult in some way. There are ways to invest right now with high interest rates. Besides, rates will come down. So even if you bought a property right now with a high interest rate that barely makes any money, when interest rates go down, you can refinance and then make more money. I'm not suggesting you go out and buy a bad deal, just understand that you're marrying the property but you're dating the rate.
This Week In Lending
This week, I wanted to share with you a valuable nugget of information that can help take your real estate investing game to the next level. Did you know that one of the key factors in successfully growing your real estate portfolio is having quick access to funding for your deals?
Our funding company prides itself on our lightning-fast application to funds available process, allowing investors to seize opportunities without missing a beat. Typically our Fix and Flip loans are a 7-10 day closing, and our DSCR loans close in 21-30 days.
Remember, in the fast-paced world of real estate investing, timing is everything! If you’d like to submit a deal now text “LIVE DEAL” to (360) 580-4983 and get a terms sheet in 3-4 business hours!
Something I Recommend
I was always envious of the people who are “ON” 100% of the time. The people who don’t deal with low motivation, doubt, fear of failure, or those endless days of thinking your whole entrepreneurial journey is about to blow up in your face. These people were running circles around me in business and real estate and when I finally figured out what they had that I didn’t – It all made sense.
These people were using a Mindset Coach to keep their eye on the prize and expose them to a higher level of thinking every single day. So when I went to find one of these coaches specifically for real estate investors, all roads lead to Jason Drees. Jason has been coaching me for nearly a decade at this point and has supported my growth from a small time investor to someone with nearly $1B worth of assets under management.
If you’re looking for an edge to accelerate your growth, talk to Jason. You can get a FREE coaching session through this link.
For my health-conscious friends (or those trying to be healthier), I’ve been using MyBodyTutor for years for accountability on my fitness and diet. These guys assign you a coach to hold you accountable, track your food, suggest exercises etc. You can check them out here.
