Something I’m Excited About
Im excited that I opened up my BetterLife Tribe for enrollment this week! I love seeing Tribe members join and form habits to grow their business or personal life and network with other members. But in reality, Im most excited about the larger impact BetterLife has with all profits going to charity. When I think about the impact we will have there - THATS what fires me up and gets me excited.
Something I Can Answer
I’ll be answering two questions asked by a BTB subscriber. Have a question you want me to answer? Reply to this text with your question!
Question: “How do you manage your time effectively to accomplish your goals?”
1.) I first get very clear on my long term goals. I do this by a.) planning a vision for my life and regularly doing a 10-category life audit to see where I’m at and how I’m doing. b.) setting annual goals and quarterly goals. c.) reviewing those goals weekly with my Pod in the BetterLife Tribe.
2.) Once I’m clear on my priorities, I ask myself, “what is my Most Important Next Step.” (MINS). The smallest tangible “move-the-ball-3-yards-down-the-field” kind of action. Make a phone call. Send an email. Check my mailbox. Etc.
3.) Then when I’m clear on that MINS, I schedule it on my calendar AND if I worry I won’t actually do it, I try to rope someone else to help (so I’m obligated to get it done) or I’ll make a commitment to the members of my BLT Pod, so they’ll hold me accountable.
Despite what people think, I’m not actually a very disciplined person. I’ve just learned to “hack my lack” of self discipline by the above steps. That’s why I built the BetterLife Tribe I mentioned above. So… if you wanna make 2023 incredible… jump in. I need you, and you need us.
Question: "What investment strategy have you had the most success with?”
What strategy have I had the most success with? Whether it’s a small single family house or a 409-unit apartment, I’ve had a lot of success finding properties that are ugly… fixing them up, and then renting them out. It’s hard, but that’s why I’ve been successful: I’m willing to get good at the hard stuff. Are you?
