Something I’m Reading
I’m still working through Nick Offerman’s “Where the Dear and the Antellope Play” that I mentioned last week. Since I have been traveling, I haven’t had a lot of time to read.
Something I Photographed
Got to listen to a powerful message from Tim Tebow at the BLT Summit on Monday. We also donated 100% of our profits this year to his foundation and presented him with a check for $400k. Not to mention the addition $100k from the generous Tribe members that attended the event. Can’t wait to see what we’re able to donate next year!
Something I’m Excited About
We just wrapped the BLT Summit last night and it was an awesome event! It was so great to hang out with Tribe members and set goals for 2024. Can’t wait to see what everyone accomplishes over the next year.
If you’re not a Tribe member yet, I’m hosting a FREE webinar tomorrow, 12/7 at 2pm PST where I’ll be teaching you how you can become financially free in just THREE years through rental property investing. You can register for the webinar here.
Something I Can Answer
I’ll be answering two questions asked by a BTB subscriber. Have a question you want me to answer? Reply to this text with your question!
Question: "I’m an entrepreneur but I don’t make enough money to hire help. Any tips?”
When you don’t make enough to hire, one thing to consider is hiring non-vital work related stuff out first so you can maximize your time. Cleaning, cooking, lawn care, etc. A few hundred bucks a month to others to do this stuff can free up 5 to 20 hours a week of YOUR low-dollar-per-hour tasks. That should help you make thousands of more dollars because you’re focused on the higher dollar-per-hour tasks.
Then with that new income, you might be able to hire someone on a part-time level that can help you grow. You can even get creative and offer some sort of low paying internship plus a piece of the deal if you don’t have the cash.
Question: "How do I build my real estate network out of state?”
Great question! First off, go visit your out of state market! It sounds obvious, but most people don't do that. Find a meet up for an RE group and plan your trip around that!
If you’re a member of the Tribe, get active in circle. Find out who the players are in your area and get to know them. Build a friendship with people in that market that way. David Greene’s book, “Long Distance Real Estate Investing” is a great resource for that.
After you’ve made the connections, it’s really about follow up. People don’t care if you’re local or not. What they care about is your ability to close deals, your responsive and you’re easy to work with.
Something I Recommend
I was always envious of the people who are “ON” 100% of the time. The people who don’t deal with low motivation, doubt, fear of failure, or those endless days of thinking your whole entrepreneurial journey is about to blow up in your face. These people were running circles around me in business and real estate and when I finally figured out what they had that I didn’t – It all made sense.
These people were using a Mindset Coach to keep their eye on the prize and expose them to a higher level of thinking every single day. So when I went to find one of these coaches specifically for real estate investors, all roads lead to Jason Drees. Jason has been coaching me for nearly a decade at this point and has supported my growth from a small time investor to someone with nearly $1B worth of assets under management.
If you’re looking for an edge to accelerate your growth, talk to Jason. You can get a FREE coaching session through this link.
For my health-conscious friends (or those trying to be healthier), I’ve been using MyBodyTutor for years for accountability on my fitness and diet. These guys assign you a coach to hold you accountable, track your food, suggest exercises etc. You can check them out here.
