It simplifies everything from background checks to credit reports, so I can avoid problem tenants from the start. One of the most powerful tools in real estate is something surprisingly simple: a handwritten note. In a world full of emails and text messages, a personal touch stands out and gets results. Whether you're looking to buy your next investment property or reach more potential sellers, Ballpoint Marketing handles it all—from building targeted lists to crafting and sending personalized notes. Their 'done for you' service has been a game-changer for my business. For up to 15% off, visit BallpointMarketing.com/BetterLife. Some Thoughts to (Hopefully) Make Your Life Better
How Many Goals Should I Focus On at One Time?
When it comes to setting goals, a common question is: “How many goals should I work on at once?” Here’s the truth: the more goals you set, the less focus and energy each one gets. That’s why I believe in limiting yourself to three goals per quarter – max. And even then, your success rate goes up significantly when you prioritize just one big goal.
Think about it: setting just one primary goal allows you to laser-focus your energy, track habits related to that goal, and build the accountability necessary to hit it. This isn’t about doing less; it’s about doing the right things better. One big goal gives you a clear target and lets you devote 100% of your attention to achieving it. So, when you’re picking your top goals, remember that it’s quality, not quantity, that counts.
Here’s how I break it down in my own life. Every year, I set three main goals that cover major areas of my life, such as my business, personal growth, and family. From there, I split those annual goals into quarterly focuses, aiming to work on three manageable, specific goals each quarter. That means, each quarter, I can direct my attention toward one goal per “life category,” without spreading myself too thin.
Once you have these goals, you’ll need to track your habits to support them and stay accountable. Accountability is huge! Whether it’s having a coach, an accountability partner, or simply setting reminders, you want a system to keep you moving forward on each goal. Personally, I find that when I track my progress and regularly check in with someone who holds me accountable, my success rates skyrocket.
So, as you map out your own goals, focus on what truly matters. Limit your goals, prioritize one big goal at a time, and make sure you have the right habits and accountability in place. At the end of the day, achieving a few well-chosen goals will feel a whole lot better than chasing a list of half-finished ones.
Remember, it’s all about simplifying, focusing, and building real momentum toward what matters most.
Love you!
