Something I’m Reading

I’ve been loving Chop Wood, Carry Water: How to Fall in Love with the Process of Becoming Great by Joshua Medcalf. Sometimes “business parables” are cheesy, but this one is cheesy in a good way. It's a short, powerful book about learning to embrace the small, often tedious steps needed to reach big goals. Highly recommend it if you're looking for something simple yet motivating.

Something I’m Excited About

In just a few weeks, My wife and I will be welcoming our next baby into the world! We are so excited about this, putting the final touches on everything, and generally getting ready to welcome this little one into the world.

On the business side, a lot is happening with The BetterLife Tribe

We’re taking things to the next level with our performance coaching. It’s been amazing to see the impact it’s already had on so many members, helping people achieve personal and professional growth in tangible ways. Something I Recommend

If you’re a landlord, you need to choose tenants based on data instead of your emotions.

Many landlords move in tenants they "like" instead of relying on data.

If you want to avoid these mistakes effectively, I’m a big fan of how TurboTenant helps in this area.

They have a free tenant screening tool that takes care of online background and credit checks. Over 700,000 landlords already trust it to find qualified tenants.

For those of you that actually want to scale your real estate business, you can learn more here: https://go.abetterlife.com/turbo-btb

One of the most powerful tools in real estate is something surprisingly simple: a handwritten note.

In a world full of emails and text messages, a personal touch stands out and gets results.

Whether you're looking to buy your next investment property or reach more potential sellers, Ballpoint Marketing handles it all—from building targeted lists to crafting and sending personalized notes. Their 'done for you' service has been a game-changer for my business.

Some Thoughts to (Hopefully) Make Your Life Better

Here's the funny thing about financial freedom.

Everyone loves to talk about it, but it’s not as fulfilling as it seems.

I don’t know a single person who reached financial freedom and then stopped working altogether.

The idea we’re all chasing financial freedom so we can sit on the couch and watch TV all day?

Nobody actually wants to spend the rest of their days doing that.

(Unless you’re watching my podcast, that might be the only exception…)

So what does this mean for you? It means that today, you need to focus on doing what you love.

Find that work, that mission, that passion that not only gets you closer to financial freedom but also allows you to worry a little less.

For me, achieving financial freedom was never just about the money.

What I cared about was having the ability to spend more time with my wife and kids, educate and inspire fellow real estate investors, and choose the projects I work on.

Financial freedom is actually about creating space in your life to work on things you care about.

So don’t spend so much time stressing about money so you can eventually “stop working.” If your goal is to quit working altogether, you’re approaching it from the wrong angle. What does financial freedom mean to you?

Love you!
