Something I’m Reading
I’m reading Go for Stupid by Steve Sims. Steve is a good friend and author of Bluefishing and now just launched his newest book, “Go For Stupid”. It’s all about having big goals and the audacity to make em happen! Pick it up today!
Something I Teach
I’m not gonna teach anything today. Instead I’m just going to show you this video/poem i saw on TikTok (don’t judge me!). If you’re not a parent of young kids, you won’t care. If you are…get your tissues ready 😭.
Something I Photographed
Hanging with Steve Sims at his Book Launch Party in LA!
Something I’m Excited About
We are putting final touches on our next mobile home park fund - and we’re changing things up a bit in way that a lot of investors are going to be excited about! More info to come :)
Something I Can Answer
Every week, I answer one question asked by a BTB subscriber. Have a question you want me to answer? Reply to this text with your question!
Question: “How do you balance working hard to grow and progress with continual striving and feelings of discontent? I struggle with the balance.”
I have struggled with this, but the best way around it is simple: measure looking backwards, not forward. In other words, reflecting on how far you’ve come creates a feeling of gratitude and accomplishment, but measuring how far you have to go to reach some “ideal” life - that’ll always make you feel like you’re not doing enough. This is the gist of the book The Gap and the Gain by Dan Sullivan and Benjamin Hardy - highly recommended!
Your Friend,
P.S. Comment below and let me know your thoughts on this week’s BTB! Please be friendly :)
